WHO AM I?
Such a question!
Here are a few insufficient answers.
I am an American writer living in Canada. This tends to make me feel alternately continental and displaced.
I was born during a flu epidemic in the winter of 1969 and grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, with Laura Ingalls' braids, glasses, asthma and allergies. A loner and bookworm, I related to all the rosy-cheeked, shawl-wrapped consumptives I found in plays and literature and my best childhood friends included Bilbo, Mary Lennox, Jo March, Robin Goodfellow, Smike and the Wart.
I studied theater at the Cleveland Playhouse, Northwestern University and The Chautauqua Institute and have played many roles, including the female lead in four Gilbert and Sullivan operettas.
I believe great fiction asks more questions than it answers.
I have completed my first novel, ELUNED, and begun its sequel. Currently, I'm making every effort to ensure that someday soon you will be able to pick up a copy at your local bookstore. An excerpt from ELUNED was published in the Spring 2013 edition of The Copperfield Review and may be found here.
